World industries cannot do without Oil and Gas

Oil and gas are important elements in the energy transition, as they are used in solar energy, wind energy, and even agricultural fertilizers. Industries such as those of electronics cannot stop pending renewables takeover.
The energy transition is unattainable without oil and gas, as demand for the latter keeps increasing. Therefore, big oil and gas companies are investing in renewable energies on the one hand, while carrying on with their investment in oil and gas, on the other hand.
For instance, Total Energies signed a contract with Qatar Energyto receive 3.5 million tons of natural gas annually as of 2026. This comes while Total Energies produced 10 gigawatts of electricity through renewable energies and aims to produce 100 gigawatts in 2030.
