Speaking to Aljazeera English during the GECF summit held in Algiers, the CEO of Ranadrill Consulting, Mr. Choeib Boutamine, has said that the main concern of the GECF countries currently is to maintain steady supplies and stable prices amid the two major conflicts affecting the gas market, notably the war in Ukraine and the Israeli war on Gaza (which triggered retaliation from Houthis in the Red Sea).
Countries like Algeria, Qatar, and Russia have been seeking to sign long-term contracts with European countries in order to increase investment in natural gas and ensure a steady supply to consumers.
